You connect your ESP (like Kit). We sync your subscriber list and run each email address through our enrichment pipeline, which identifies the person behind it—their job title, company, industry, seniority, and company size—using public professional data. No surveys, no subscriber action required. It’s completely passive.
Audience intelligence is included for qualified BuySellAds publisher partners as part of their active publisher relationship. audience.is is built by BuySellAds, who runs the largest newsletter ad marketplace. Publishers outside the BSA network can start with a Free Preview, then use a one-time initial scan for their existing list and monthly maintenance for new subscribers and profile refreshes.
Only public sources. We check public professional profiles and pages on the open web, including Gravatar (gravatar.com) and public GitHub profiles, plus public company websites. We never access private accounts or purchase data from brokers. Subscribers who want to control what their public Gravatar profile shows can manage it anytime at gravatar.com/profile.
Surveys typically get a 2–5% response rate, and the people who respond are self-selected—not representative. Enrichment can work across your full list passively, giving you real data instead of a small biased sample. That said, we include a survey tool too for things enrichment can’t tell you, like purchase intent or tool preferences.
Kit (ConvertKit), Beehiiv, Mailchimp, Ghost, and Campaign Monitor are fully supported today with automatic sync and incremental updates. Using something else? Upload a CSV to get started right away — or email us and we’ll prioritize your ESP.
No. Never. We don’t sell, license, or share individual subscriber data with anyone—not advertisers, not data brokers, not anyone. The enrichment data is only visible to you. You choose what aggregate numbers to share with sponsors.
We can still enrich many personal email addresses, though the success rate is lower than company domains. Your dashboard shows the breakdown so you know exactly what percentage of your list we could identify. Even a partial enrichment gives you data you didn’t have before.
The ESP sync takes a few minutes. Enrichment runs in the background after that—you’ll start seeing demographic data in your dashboard within minutes. Larger initial scans are processed as background work, and your settings page shows coverage, scan progress, and ongoing maintenance capacity.
That’s the whole point. Your dashboard gives you the exact numbers sponsors ask for—seniority breakdown, company sizes, industries, job titles. Use them in pitch decks, on sponsor calls, or in your media kit. We’re building an auto-generated media kit feature next.
